School CounselorSCL, LPC, NCC
BA in Psychology, University of Michigan
MA in Counseling, Oakland University
I have been a counselor at FlexTech since we first opened in 2011. I live in New Hudson with my husband, Danny, and my adorable dog, Snoopy. Prior to working at FlexTech, I attended the University of Michigan where I graduated in 2008 earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with an emphasis on development and education. I went on to earn my Masters Degree in Counseling from Oakland University in 2011. In addition to a School Counseling License, I currently hold a Professional Counseling License (LPC) and am also credentialed as a National Certified Counselor (NCC).
My favorite part about working at FlexTech is our uniquely personalized family-like environment that allows me to get to know each and every student on a personal level. I also enjoy facilitating counseling groups based on student needs such as Anger Management, Friendship, Study Skills, Divorce, Bullying, and Bereavement. My favorite part about being a school counselor is building relationships with my students and getting to see them grow and develop throughout their time in school into adults who are ready for the “real world.” Overall, I hope to empower students to make positive and healthy decisions throughout high school and beyond.BACK TO TEAM
