Flex Tech High School-Novi instills in their students a love of learning and and wants school to be a place for kids to explore real problems in a creative environment. In line with the belief that students learn best by doing we invested in a state-of-the-art makerspace. Makerspaces are community studio spaces where people gather together to build, share resources, experiment with new tools and technologies, tinker, and create.
Makers inhabit a spirit of innovation and a problem solving.
Our student-makers tackle challenging tasks, and work together in teams.
Flex Tech High School-Novi is home to the only two certified Maker Educators in Michigan. Beth Steckelberg and Christopher Quiambao both earned their Maker Certificates through Sonoma State University.
Our makers prototype new ideas using cutting edge technology such as laser engravers, 3D printers, vinyl cutters, and design software.
